MDRCo were engaged to assist with the Leach Hwy Welshpool Rd Overpass.

This was an incredibly challenging job over rail with extremely limited access due to high voltage powerlines above.

The project required approval for special power exemptions and rail closures. There was poor weather conditions, and every challenge that could possibly be thrown our way was experienced.

It was one of the most challenging jobs we have ever come across.

Leach Hwy Welshpool Rd Overpass

we were engaged by Tutt Bryant to build a 700 tonne crawler crane, build the rigging and install all sixteen 180 tonne bridge beams. We sent a team of 8 (4 on day, 4 on night), all specialist riggers to assist with completion of the job.

This was a metro project for offshire equipment – we built the crane with a weight scale, and completed lifting to test the weights, to ensure the scale was calibrated correctly.

This crane was going to an oil rig and had to be exactly right.
